* Vintage Chinese "Sculptured" Round Area Rug, 9' 3" diameter
Peso Priced Item.
This rug is from the 1970's, when China first reopened their doors to massive exports. There was a fad to 'sculpture' the pile around the flower designs to help them 'jump out' at you. Round rugs are hard to find, very few weavers go to the extra trouble to weave them like this and the sculpting adds another layer of hand work to each rug. 100% wool pile with cotton foundation.
This has maintained it's original color beautifully even though it is more or less 50 years old.
This measures 9' 3" diameter. Very good condition with the fringe intact.
