Not much is known about this artist whose cryptic signature MAYA has been a source of confusion for years.  There is a known painter Reynaldo Maya born in 1911.   
This one measures  14.5" by 17.5 " in a very nice carved and gilt Mexican frame (the actual artwork measures 10.5" by 13.5").   
There is a bit of damage to the eleborate frame.
This is from my personal collection of Mexican paintings. Since we moved to the Hacienda Santa Barbara I have had to part with some of my 30 year acumulation of paintings! The new house is much bigger with less wall space due to windows, doors, arches, fireplaces, etc!
