# Iztaccíhuatl by Mexican Artist Reynaldo "MAYA", 1940's-50'
Peso Priced Item: .
I believe this depicts Iztaccíhuatl mountain separating the states of Puebla and Mexico.
Not much is known about this artist whose cryptic signature MAYA has been a source of confusion for years. There is a known painter Reynaldo Maya born in 1911. This is one of the best works by MAYA that I have run across.
This measures 10" by 12 " in a very nice carved Mexican mahogany frame (the actual artwork measures 8" by 10").
Oil on Canvas, it is signed lower right.
This is from my personal collection of Mexican paintings. Since we moved to the Hacienda Santa Barbara I have had to part with some of my 30 year acumulation of paintings! The new house is much bigger with less wall space due to windows, doors, arches, fireplaces, etc!
