# Gustavo Sendis, Acrylic on Masonite, 27.5" by 33"
Gustavo Sendis (1941-1989), Acrylic on Masonite, 27.5" by 33". Untitled, signed lower right.
From my private collection of local art from the last quarter of the 20th C.
A very talented musician who chose a wanderers life, giving up his heritage of medicine to explore the world, perform and paint. His works have been shown is the best of shows.
His early demise may be the reason he did not acheive more aclaim.
He is included in the book "Cuatro Siglos de Pintura Jaliscience" a sign of the importance he had in Jalisco..
His family had a home on Independencia in Ajijic for decades. Gustavo would spend a lot of time hanging out in Ajijic, playing music, painting and drinking!
